The Iconic Toys are Coming Back in a Special Limited Edition of Happy Meals

McDonald’s is bringing back some of its iconic toys as part of its celebration of completing forty years of Happy Meal. The toys which range from the last four decades including Cowboy McNugget, Hamburglar and Space Jam Bugs Bunny, etc. will be offered along with the special limited edition.

Commemorating its 40th anniversary of Happy Meal, America’s fast-food chain has decided to bring a special limited-edition Surprise Happy Meal with the most popular Happy Meal toys. This will be available at participating locations in more than 90 countries around the world from November 7-11, while supplies last.

“Parents tell us how fondly they recall their favorite toys,” said Colin Mitchell, McDonald’s senior vice president of global marketing, as per the report of USA Today. “So unboxing the Surprise Happy Meal together creates a real moment of bonding with their children.”

Happy Meal, a kid’s meal sold at McDonald’s, was rolled out in 1979. A small toy was offered along with the food packet and was contained in a red cardboard box with a yellow smiley face and the McDonald’s logo. It turned out to be a big hit that earned the company a place in children’s hearts.

“Since the Happy Meal was introduced on the menu, it quickly became synonymous with our brand. Today, this iconic red box creates lasting memories for billions of families annually across the world,” said Steve Easterbrook, CEO of McDonald in a statement.

Fifteen toys will be available globally that include McDonald’s Cowboy McNugget, Fireman McNugget, Mail Carrier McNugget, Hamburger Changeable, Grimace, Dino Happy Meal Box Changeable, Hot Wheels Thunderbird, Hamburglar, Hasbro’s Power Rangers, Warner Brothers’ Space Jam Bugs Bunny, Ty Beanie Baby’s Patti the Platypus, Bandai’s Tamagotchi, Hasbro’s My Little Pony, Furby and Sanrio’s Hello Kitty. 101 Dalmatians and Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey are the two Disney toys that are exclusively available in the U.S.
